Sorry if this has been posted before.. for some reasont the ultimate beast mastery guide isn't sticked?? (yes I used the new and "improved" search)
Well I just wanted to know if in factions, there are any pets that do blunt damage... if not, which are the ones with slashing?

Thanks in advance. <3

Thanks for pointing out the guide, SnipiousMax. It's a little old though, and no Factions pets are listed in the guide. =(
Anyone have a clue? Somehow I doubt they added in a pet with blunt damage, but I'd at least like to know which do piercing.

Here is the actual thread for the Pet Guide. It's a bit more recent than the guide listed on the website, but I still didn't see whether they determined the damage type of factions pets. You might read through the last page or two of the thread.

Once again, thanks Snipious. I was able to find that this information actually hasn't been looked into yet, so I'll be doing some testing of my own. I'll post up the results in the pet thread.
One thing I don't know how to tell if a pet does blunt damage. Do you have any clue?

Hi, i tested Cranes quite awhile ago against shields up, and it seemed to be that their damage was decreased alot due to the 50 armor vs piercing. So i believe that Cranes deal piercing damage, however I could of missed something so don't hold this as 100% fact . Hope it helps atleast alittle.

There is an assasin armor that has +armor vs blunt. Just find a guildie to test it on. Alternatively (and a longer shot) there are shields with +10 armor vs blunt.

I believe skellies take extra damage from blunt damage too (and less against piercing). So if you want to test that, test your pet's damage against skellies with its normal attack, and with greater conflagration (which turns the damage to fire - skellies have no bonus/malus against that).

Oh wow.. thanks guys. When I'm done with all this junk for my english 201 class I'll report back with the results. I was thinking of getting a crane too.. they look so graceful.
I settled on a blue crab, gonna test him first. CRUSTY CRAB! =D

BTW Sir Mad, skellies as in the ones in the kryta area?

Try against these guys, note though they are different from the higher level, Skeleton Bowmasters (level 17)
